Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary Under direct supervision of a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), the Vascular Student Extern assists in performing non-invasive vascular diagnostic procedures including carotid duplex, venous reflux, and arterial studies while developing clinical competency. Responsibilities Assists in performing a variety of vascular ultrasound procedures Assists with producing clear and undistorted images as indicated per established protocols Identifies and visualizes all necessary anatomy, measurements, and correctly labels structures. Recognizes normal and abnormal vascular anatomy and physiology and reports critical values and abnormal findings per established policy and procedures. Utilizes 2-Dimensional, M-Mode, color flow, and Doppler imaging techniques when indicated Assures correct patient information on requests, reports, and PACS. Performs related duties as required.

Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required. Must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
