In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to perform detailed fetal imaging, providing essential insights into fetal development and health. Your expertise will support obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional prenatal care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive prenatal ultrasound examinations, including fetal anatomy scans, growth assessments, and Doppler studies using state-of-the-art sonography equipment. Operate medical imaging devices with precision, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Collaborate closely with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other healthcare providers to interpret ultrasound findings and support clinical decision-making. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to strict confidentiality and aseptic techniques. Utilize picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) to store, retrieve, and share diagnostic images efficiently. Conduct specialized imaging such as gynecological ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, breast ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound diagnostics as needed. Educate patients about procedures in a compassionate manner, addressing questions related to pregnancy health and fetal development while ensuring a positive patient care experience. Requirements Proven experience in maternal-fetal medicine or obstetric ultrasound with a strong understanding of fetal physiology and anatomy. Proficiency in operating medical imaging equipment including ultrasound machines used for prenatal, gynecological, abdominal, and vascular diagnostics. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to women's health and reproductive patient care. Demonstrated ability to perform vascular technology diagnostics and echocardiography procedures when required. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information and imaging results. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Certification in diagnostic sonography or equivalent credentials from recognized professional bodies; additional certifications in women's health diagnostics or gynecology diagnostics are preferred.
