Job Description

Company Overview Chattanooga Imaging is part of a network of six multi-modality imaging centers dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostic services. Our facilities are equipped with advanced imaging technology, including ultrasound, MRI, CT, and more, to deliver precise and timely diagnoses for our patients. Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging and patient care, with expertise in sonography and anatomy. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality diagnostic imaging services within a collaborative healthcare environment. Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including obstetric, gynecologic, and abdominal imaging. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate ultrasound equipment accurately while adhering to established protocols and safety standards. Analyze images for quality and clarity, making adjustments as necessary for optimal results. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and findings in accordance with medical record-keeping standards. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to interpret images and support diagnosis. Uphold strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during procedures. Stay current with advancements in sonography technology and medical imaging practices through ongoing education. Experience Proven experience in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures with a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine, Ob/Gyn, and general medical imaging principles is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic radiology practices, and patient care protocols. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Experience working within a clinical setting that emphasizes patient safety, aseptic techniques, and accurate image acquisition. Prior exposure to sonography related to obstetrics or gynecology is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training or certification is essential.
