Know Your Team:
BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo's preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service, and dignity. Responsibilities Operate sonography equipment to produce images of specified areas of the body and performs related technical functions utilizing ultrasound imaging principles. Demonstrate the technical skills necessary to provide outstanding image quality for all abdominal and small parts, OB /Gyn and pediatric ultrasounds. Exhibit knowledge and skills for providing imaging guidance during invasive procedures. Perform imaging in accordance with recommended safe patient practices. Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications. Provide safe patient care and excellent customer service to all patient populations. Possess excellent critical thinking skills along with the ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, and intra- and inter-departmentally situations. Additional responsibilities as designated by Diagnostic Imaging leadership team
Qualifications Job Requirements:
ARRT (R) or
ARDMS BLS
certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Two (2) years related experience Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
