  • Memorial Lufkin is a 279 bed facility and member of CommonSpirit Health, a national nonprofit health system.
Serving East Texas, St. Luke's Health-Memorial Lufkin provides more than a quarter of a million patient services annually and contributes millions of dollars in local charity care and community support. We're the area's first Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center, with board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons offering full-spectrum stroke care. Nationally recognized as a HealthCare Center of Excellence, St. Luke's Health-Memorial Lufkin offers compassionate, comprehensive health care, including off-campus rehab and outpatient facilities and services. In addition to its large emergency department, there are 32 private rooms, dedicated imaging and OBGYN, wound care, infusion and lab services. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

Professional position will provide the most effective and efficient delivery of heart & vascular diagnostic ultrasound to patients of regional cardiologist, physicians, advanced practice practitioners, and referring hospitals. Job Requirements Required High School Graduate or GED and 6 months experience, or Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Echocardiography program OR an approved Allied Health program including but not limited to: Respiratory Therapy, Radiology or Nursing., upon hire and Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • ARRT, or Registered with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • ARDMS or Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • CCI (RVS), and Basic Life Support
  • CPR, within 14
  • days Preferred Direct patient care experience, Experience in EKG interpretation preferred and/or completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course, upon hire
