Job Description
General Summary The Ultrasound Technician performs ultrasound diagnostic tests and fibroscans for patients. We are looking for a qualified full time or part time (Mon-Fri; 8 AM-2 PM) candidate to join our team. Essential Job Functions Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. Assist physicians with liver biopsies. Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum imaging results. Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment. Maintain ultrasound and fibroscan equipment in appropriate operating condition. Maintain examination rooms and work areas. Additional Responsibilities 1. Maintain accurate department records, reports and files as directed. 2. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. 3. Work as a team member within the ultrasound area and all other departments. 4. Document work processes as required. 5. Perform other duties as assigned.
