The Ultrasound Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate care to his/her assigned patient(s)/area(s). This individual will safely address Ultrasound patients of all age groups and will perform Ultrasound studies using appropriate imaging and ancillary equipment. They will also address Ultrasound in a manner that ensures excellent patient care, while consistently maintaining accurate and reliable documentation/record keeping. Additional modality responsibilities will be based on the individual skill sets and licensure/certifications held. This ultimately means that an Ultrasound technologist may be asked to address other modalities as licensed and needed.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology and/or Ultrasonography program. Must hold current ARRT (S)- or•ARDMS certification.
EXPERIENCE A
minimum of one-year clinical experience is preferred (2 years is preferred). SKILLS Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff and public in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner. Must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people. Able to perform effectively in stressful situations. Must be well motivated, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills. Effective computer and keyboarding skills. Must have ability to learn and use Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Outlook. Ability to learn new computer software applications. Must know medical terminology. The department of Radiology has a career pathway to help address growth potential for licensed technologists and is defined by the department Director. The growth potential pattern is as follows: Tech I- ARRT
- or•ARDMS in one modality or anatomical area (i.
