We are a privately owned veterinary hospital in Berkeley, CA. We opened in 6/2023 and we are growing fast! We offer both general practice and same-day urgent care appointments as well as dentistry and surgical procedures. The schedule is built on the comfort level of the doctor and this includes only general practice appointments or general practice + urgent care appointments.
About Us:
Open Monday - Sunday, 9 am - 7 pm Fear-free practices for both cats and dogs and Fear Free certified. Utilization of Low-Stress techniques for feline restraint: no stress; building a "feline wing" in the next year that will include a cat-only waiting area and exam rooms.
About Our Facility:
3000 sq ft (approx); over 4000 sq ft after the expansion. Currently 4 exam rooms; and 9 exam rooms after the expansion. Comfort room after the expansion. Separate dental suite with digital dental x-ray. Separate surgery suite. Digital x-ray. Ultrasound. Companion Animal Laser. Light-filled treatment room with 2 wet and 2 exam tables and skylights/ windows. Casco warming kennels. Idexx in-house blood machines for CBC, CHEM, UA, clotting times. Idexx, Antech and VDX used for outside lab work. Idexx Neo cloud-based software. Large stocked pharmacy. Cubex for controlled drugs. Weave phone lines (all calls recorded). Ottovet texting services for client communication.
About Our Staff:
4 FT DVM's 3 FT RVT's; 2 PT RVT's We offer established integrative services, including acupuncture provided in-house by Dr. Holliday, our Medical Director, with opportunities for further expansion based on doctor interest. Mobile Boarded Cardiologist appointments for echos + consults (every 3-4 weeks rotating schedule).
Other mobile DVMs on request:
Internist for Ultrasounds, Internist for Scoping, Surgeon for both orthopedic/soft tissue surgeries. Onsite Practice Manager.
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Active veterinary license in the state of California. Strong diagnostic and surgical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. A commitment to a low-stress handling/Fear-free practice concerning patient care. 4 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

Base:
$155-200k/yr 20%

About Berkeley Animal Hospital:
We are a newly constructed and privately owned small animal clinic. We have a 3000 square foot facility with 5 exam rooms, a large treatment area, dental suite, surgery suite, and Fear Free warming cages. We offer acupuncture and have on call specialists that include: internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery.
