Full-Time DVM Position Located in beautiful Big Bear Lake California, Mountain View Animal Hospital is a family-owned primary and urgent care practice with a long-tenured staff and an excellent reputation. Our new facility is equipped with a complete in-house lab, digital general and dental radiography, ultrasound, and extensive orthopedic equipment.
Position Details Schedule:
4-5 days per week (Monday-Friday), with all major holidays off, plus additional income opportunities for weekend or on-call hours if desired.
Compensation:
$180,000 base salary plus a quarterly commission bonus.
Sign & Stay Bonus:
Up to $50,000. As part of this bonus, you may choose to live rent-free for one year (utilities included) in a furnished 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom farmhouse featuring a wrap-around porch with lake and ski resort views, a two-car garage, and a large fenced backyard.

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- DEA license and USDA accreditation (or ability to obtain).
- Strong commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine.
- Excellent communication and client education skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong medical recordkeeping and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
- Proficiency in elective, soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
- Experience utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and modern treatment protocols.
- Interest in continuing education and staying current with advancements in veterinary medicine.
- New graduates with strong clinical training are also encouraged to apply. Essential Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations, wellness evaluations, and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop and communicate tailored treatment plans for a wide range of medical conditions.
- Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures as appropriate.
- Interpret laboratory results, digital radiographs, ultrasound findings, and other diagnostic data.
- Educate clients on preventive care and long-term health management.
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff to maintain high standards of patient care and accurate medical records.
