We're searching for a Lead Veterinarian to join this awesome 4-DVM team in Costa Mesa, CA. ( No weekends required!)
Job Description:
We're working with a well-established, four-doctor small-animal and exotics clinic in Costa Mesa, CA, seeking a Medical Lead Veterinarian to set clinical standards, mentor the DVM team, and help shape the hospital's continued growth. This is a long-standing, full-service practice with a history in the community dating back to 1985. The hospital provides wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, urgent care, advanced care, surgical procedures, and services for a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. You'll be joining an experienced veterinary team that includes multiple DVMs and access to cardiology support, with a collaborative culture focused on clinical quality, client trust, and patient comfort. The hospital is open Monday to Friday, with weekends closed, creating a more consistent schedule than many leadership opportunities. As Medical Lead, you'll work closely with the Practice Manager to support hospital performance, mentor associate veterinarians, lead doctor meetings, uphold medical standards, and help develop a positive, engaged team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll still practice medicine while having real influence over clinical direction, standards of care, team development, and hospital culture.
