A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Job Description

Lbc Vets is a DVM owned (non-corporate) 8 Doctor Veterinary hospital, practicing primary and urgent care medicine. The Clinic consists of a 9500sq/ft aesthetically pleasing exterior and interior and houses advanced equipment, including a full ICU Chamber, top of the line Ultrasound, Endoscopy Tower, Forced Triad and beautiful patient habitats. We have a phenomenal reputation within the community. We are located less than one mile from Cal State Long Beach in the Park Estates Neighborhood of Long Beach. We are a fun, energetic and dynamic group with a positive work culture that prides ourselves on engaging with our team members, complete transparency, and fair and ethical practices. DVM and non-DVM staff are all scheduled to 3 12 hours shifts which allows for a great work life balance. Duties include:
  • Perform routine check-ups and urgent care examinations on a companion animals
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in animals
  • Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as necessary
  • Provide emergency care and urgent care to animals in critical condition
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care to animals We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our Hybrid team.
