Introduction Our client is a dedicated 24/7 emergency and urgent care hospital for dogs and cats and is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital serves a broad community throughout the South Bay, Orange County, Los Angeles, and surrounding areas, providing emergency and critical care services in a fast-paced clinical environment. Role Description and Responsibilities The Emergency Veterinarian is responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and critical care to emergency and urgent care patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, interpreting laboratory and imaging results, administering emergency procedures, managing hospitalized and critical patients, and communicating effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and costs. The Emergency Veterinarian collaborates closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and specialists to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, maintains accurate and detailed medical records, ensures compliance with hospital protocols and medical standards, and contributes to a positive team culture while supporting the highest standards of patient welfare and client service. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only. Practice Details The hospital operates 24/7 and is equipped with advanced emergency and critical care technology, including CT, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG, in-house laboratory diagnostics, advanced patient monitoring systems, modern surgical facilities, and comprehensive critical care capabilities. This state-of-the-art equipment supports the management of a diverse emergency and urgent care caseload, allowing clinicians to provide exceptional diagnostic, surgical, and critical care services. The hospital is a dedicated 24/7 emergency and urgent care facility for dogs and cats, serving clients throughout the South Bay, Orange County, Los Angeles, and surrounding communities. The modern hospital is designed to support the management of a diverse emergency caseload, featuring dedicated treatment, hospitalization, surgical, and critical care areas. The facility provides a collaborative environment where veterinarians and support staff work together to deliver high-quality emergency and critical care services. The hospital provides comprehensive emergency and urgent veterinary care for dogs and cats, including emergency examinations, triage and stabilization, critical care, hospitalization, advanced diagnostic imaging, surgery, endoscopy, management of trauma cases, treatment of toxicities, and care for acute medical conditions. The team is equipped to manage a wide range of emergency presentations while working closely with primary care veterinarians to ensure continuity of care and the best possible outcomes for patients. Team The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by a dedicated group of veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff. The hospital fosters a collaborative working environment where veterinarians and support staff work closely together to provide high-quality patient care and support one another in managing a varied emergency caseload.
