What they do

A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital, one of South Bay's most established and trusted veterinary hospitals, is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our highly collaborative, four-doctor team in beautiful Torrance, CA.

Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary $130,000
  • $170,000 (depending on experience) Up to $20,000 signing bonus Production based bonuses Full benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision 401(k) with employer match Paid vacation, paid sick time Paid CE days + CE allowance Professional memberships State & DEA licensure reimbursement

Plaza Del Amo Pet Clinic is a large, modern, AAHA-accredited hospital known for practicing a high level of medicine with a well-established, loyal clientele. 5 exam rooms
  • 4 of which are spacious, fully supplied, and feature double doors and sinks; a dedicated 5th room used for acupuncture and end-of-life care Treatment area with full surgical suite
  • 2 wet tables, 2 regular tables, and 2 surgery tables Full in-house laboratory Advanced ultrasound imaging Therapeutic cold laser Acupuncture & integrative services Large boarding facility accommodating up to 60 dogs with a dedicated cat boarding area overlooking the lobby
  • includes a fully staffed boarding team!
2 on-site groomers Spacious break room and dedicated DVM office

New associates will begin performing spays, neuters, and basic dentistry from the start, with the opportunity to expand surgical skills at a comfortable, supported pace. Our team is deeply committed to helping newer veterinarians grow with confidence.
Who We're Looking For:
We're seeking either a new graduate, or an experienced veterinarian who is confident, skilled, and ready to step into a fast-paced, well-equipped environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
Experienced DVMs:
We're looking for a seasoned veterinarian with 5+ years of experience who is confident navigating complex cases
  • strong surgical and dental skills are a plus, though we're committed to supporting and mentoring our team to help expand their skills and confidence in these areas. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who is generous with their knowledge
  • a natural mentor who enjoys lifting up the team around them.
New Graduates:
If you're a new grad with an eagerness to learn, a warm and outgoing personality, and a genuine passion for connecting with clients and colleagues alike, we want to hear from you. Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset are a must
