We are a growing, independent mixed animal practice in the western slope of Colorado. We are in a VMLRP area. Grand Mesa Vet just recently moved into a larger building featuring an indoor equine facility and indoor haul-in bovine facility. Our new clinic includes 4 exam rooms, a separate treatment area, a surgical suite, and separate dog/cat kennel rooms. We have a portable digital radiology unit, 2 ultrasounds, in house bloodwork and fecal/urine analyzers, and a fully stocked ambulatory truck (with potential for another if necessary). We promote a healthy work-life balance along with spending time together discussing clinical cases and practice strategies. Clinical freedom is given but support will always be provided whenever it is needed. We offer a mentorship to new graduates. We are located in Delta, CO which offers amazing mountains and rivers. There is always something for everyone: camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and horseback riding to name a few. There are numerous places to go skiing in the winter (Telluride, Breckenridge, and Aspen are within driving distance). The temperatures in the area are a dry, moderate warm seasonal climate. Delta and Montrose counties have locally owned shops and are a very close-knit community. Our schools are very competitive in sports, 4-H, and FFA. Grand Junction is a booming city with many activities, shopping, and concerts. The quality of life is outstanding in Delta as it's a rural, cozy community with big city amenities just down the road. Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Compassionate approach towards animal care with a strong commitment to their well-being.
