NOT YOUR TRADITIONAL ER SHIFT.
Summit does not have a walk-in emergency service. This means your patient care and oversight are focused only on patients admitted through our daytime specialty services. You will always have full technician support and a specialist available by phone. The ICU is also overseen by a critical care specialist who can offer phone and in-person support as needed. You will work closely with our specialists in providing the best care for our patients. If you love patient care without the unknown of an ER service, then this position was made for you.

ABOUT SUMMIT VETERINARY SPECIALTY CENTER
Summit Veterinary Specialty Center is a new independent specialty hospital opening in Firestone, Colorado in Summer 2026. Summit was founded to redefine what veterinary specialty care can be — focused on a select range of specialties so we can hire the most skilled doctors and technicians to deliver uncompromising care. As an independent organization, we're reclaiming the values that matter most in veterinary medicine: community, transparency, and exceptional care. We show up each day with humanity — fostering a culture of kindness, collaboration, and genuine joy in the work we do together. Our specialties include Surgery & Orthopedics, Surgical Oncology, Neurology/Neurosurgery, and Ophthalmology. We have a dedicated criticalist who serves as our hospitalist — not an ER doctor — providing in-house critical care support and specialist backup around the clock.
