Role:
Join our dynamic team at the Veterinary Urgent and Wellcare Center of Plainville as an Associate Veterinarian! We are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our furry patients and their families in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough examinations and diagnostics on a variety of animals. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as needed. Conduct surgical procedures and monitor recovery for patients. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding health and treatment plans. Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure high-quality care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation. Provide emergency care and support during urgent situations. Stay current with veterinary best practices and continuing education.
Requirements:
DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution. Active veterinary license in the state of Connecticut. Experience in emergency and critical care preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pet owners and team members. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Compassionate demeanor and a passion for animal welfare. Proficient in veterinary software and technology. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
