Job Description

Company Description Associate Veterinarian — Weekend Urgent Care New Smyrna Beach Animal Medical Center is expanding weekend urgent care services and seeking a motivated Associate Veterinarian to join our team. This veterinarian will be providing urgent and urgent-to-primary veterinary care in a fast-paced, collaborative clinic. What you'll do Provide urgent medical and surgical care for a broad caseload (trauma, acute illness, lacerations, urgent soft-tissue procedures). Triage and stabilize emergency patients; perform diagnostics (radiographs, point-of-care lab work). Communicate treatment plans and prognosis clearly with clients. Coordinate with the weekday primary care team for follow-up care and continuity. Maintain medical records, ensure quality of care, and follow hospital protocols. Job Description What We're Looking For DVM or equivalent degree with eligibility for Florida licensure Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with confidence in urgent care or general practice medicine Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for building something new Interest in helping shape the future of a growing urgent care practice Qualifications Full Time OR Part Time Urgent Care Veterinarian Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator Proficient in general medicine and surgery Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university Current DEA License or obtained upon hire Active Veterinary State License USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire Additional Information
