A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Yorkville Animal Hospital sits along the Fox River about an hour from Chicago, and it's the kind of place where both are genuinely possible. As a high-volume small animal practice with 5 DVMs, scheduled appointments, and walk-in visits, no two days look alike.
The Opportunity:
A busy, varied caseload with the support staff and thoughtful scheduling to back it up, including at least two full weekends off every month Full medical autonomy and a consistently strong surgical schedule Ability to provide mentorship and support to students attending externships At least 3-5 years of experience as a DVM in a small animal GP or urgent care setting is required for this role
