Our hospital is equipped with:
On-site laboratory In-house pharmacy Digital radiography (general and dental) Ultrasonography Laser therapy Full surgical suite Boarding About the Position As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive small animal veterinary care while developing lasting relationships with patients and their families. You will have the opportunity to practice a broad range of medicine and surgery while working alongside experienced veterinarians and a skilled support team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive wellness and preventive care examinations Diagnose and treat medical conditions in dogs and cats Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans Perform soft tissue surgical procedures based on your experience and comfort level Perform dental procedures and oral health assessments Utilize in-house laboratory, digital radiology, ultrasound, and other diagnostic tools Provide client education regarding preventive care, nutrition, diagnostics, and treatment options Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and advocate for the human-animal bond Practice Fear Free® handling and patient-care techniques Collaborate with RVTs, veterinary assistants, client care specialists, and other veterinarians Participate in emergency care during regular business hours Maintain accurate medical records and communicate clearly with clients and team members There are no overnight or after-hours emergency/on-call responsibilities. Fear Free Veterinary Medicine Fear Free medicine is an important part of our hospital culture. Our owner, Dr. Anna Johnson, is a Fear Free Certified® Veterinarian, and several members of our support team also hold Fear Free Certified credentials. We are looking for a veterinarian who shares our commitment to reducing fear, anxiety, and stress in veterinary patients. Fear Free certification is a plus, but not required. We are happy to support a veterinarian who is interested in pursuing certification and developing these skills. Schedule We believe veterinarians should be able to have fulfilling careers without sacrificing their lives outside the hospital.Our typical schedule includes:
Weekday hours: 8:00 AM- 6:00 PM (one weekday off) Rotating half-day Saturdays No overnight shifts No after-hours on-call Emergency care is limited to regular business hours We strive to maintain a manageable schedule that allows our doctors to provide excellent patient care without unnecessary burnout.
