Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Emergency Room (ER) Veterinarian to join our dynamic veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide urgent and critical care to a diverse range of animal patients, ensuring they receive prompt, compassionate, and expert treatment. Your expertise will help stabilize animals in distress, perform life-saving procedures, and support pet owners through challenging situations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Duties Assess and triage incoming emergency cases to prioritize urgent needs effectively Perform advanced veterinary procedures including animal catheterization, wound management, and stabilization techniques Utilize aseptic techniques during surgeries and invasive procedures to prevent infection Restrain animals safely using proper animal handling and restraint techniques for examinations and treatments Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain detailed medical records, documenting all treatments, procedures, and patient progress accurately Communicate clearly with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and aftercare instructions Support team members with animal husbandry tasks such as grooming, feeding, and general care as needed Requirements Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant jurisdiction Proven veterinary critical care experience with a strong understanding of emergency protocols Extensive animal handling skills including dog handling and restraint techniques for various species Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and basic pet care practices Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis is preferred Experience with equine or large animal care is a plus but not required Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining compassion and professionalism Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and pet owners Join our passionate team dedicated to providing exceptional emergency veterinary care! Pay:
$175,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
