Our hospital in Rockville provides emergency care and a wide variety of specialty services. Our hospital has boarded specialists in Surgery, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and a growing intern program. We have a great partnership with board certified Neurologists and Cardiologists in the building, which expands the services available to our patients. Our hospital joined the Rockville community in June of 2014. The hospital is 33,000-square-feet and houses many diagnostic and therapeutic tools, including a mechanical vent, high flow oxygen, lithotripsy laser, MRI, 64 slice CT, ultrasound, minimally invasive scoping equipment, an isolation unit in the ER and an in-house Antech reference laboratory. We hold daily doctor rounds, and our Hospital Operations Committee meets monthly with our clinicians for informal topic rounds to discuss operational and medical initiatives, changes, etc. We offer a variety of in-house CE opportunities which helps foster and cultivate our collaborative atmosphere. Role Requirements:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with 3+ years of experience. Active veterinary and state-specific DEA licenses. Proficiency in multi-modal pain management, hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services. Ability to provide services in both home settings and BluePearl hospitals. Skilled in quality-of-life conversations and end-of-life care. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Self-motivated, reliable, and empathetic. Valid driver's license, insurance, and registration. Access to a clean, reliable vehicle (preferably hatchback-style). Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and performing physical tasks consistently. Must own a smartphone with Wi-Fi access. Advanced training in hospice and palliative care preferred but not required. In addition to "hearts and smarts," we are looking for veterinarians who wish to advance their skills in specialty-level pain and symptom management and end-of-life care. We want someone who shares in our desire to make a lasting contribution within the field of palliative medicine within our industry.

Compensation:
