Associate Veterinarian Responsibilities As an Associate Veterinarian, you will: Provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
Develop and implement treatment plans
Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgical procedures
Conduct dental examinations and dental procedures
Educate pet owners on preventive care and treatment options
Maintain accurate medical records
Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to ensure exceptional patient care
Build long-term relationships with clients and their pets
Uphold the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient advocacy

Access to Medical Advisory Board resources and continuing education support Requirements & Qualifications Required Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
Active veterinary license in Michigan, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
Minimum of 2+ years of small animal clinical experience preferred
Proficiency in companion animal medicine and surgery
Strong communication and client education skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service Preferred Qualifications Experience performing routine soft tissue surgeries independently
Interest in dentistry and preventive medicine
Confidence managing medical and surgical cases from diagnosis through treatment
Experience mentoring veterinary support staff or newer veterinarians
