Requirements Education & Licensing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited program Licensed or eligible for licensure in Michigan DEA license or willingness to obtain (clinic-supported) Clinical Skills Competency in general small animal medicine, diagnostics, and treatment planning Surgery and dentistry not required; experience or interest is a plus Comfort with dogs and cats is required Willingness to see small mammals and exotics is a plus, but not required Interest in practicing progressive, evidencebased medicine Comfort with digital radiography, ultrasound, and inhouse lab equipment (training available) Professional Qualities Strong verbal and written communication skills Compassionate, client-centered approach Interest in contributing to a supportive, team-first environment Commitment to continuing education and professional growth Professionalism, integrity, and respect for clients, patients, and colleagues Workstyle Ability to maintain accurate, detailed medical records Reliability and consistency with an established schedule Openness to flexible scheduling designed for work-life balance Willingness to positively represent the clinic and engage with the community
