Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as an Associate Veterinarian specializing in small animal care! In this energetic and rewarding role, you will provide comprehensive medical services to our beloved pets, ensuring their health, comfort, and well-being. You will collaborate with Dr. Felland to deliver exceptional care, utilize your veterinary expertise, and contribute to a positive client experience. This position offers an opportunity to grow your veterinary career while making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their owners. No nights, weekends, or emergency after hour care. Pay is negotiable. Responsibilities Perform thorough examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for small animals including dogs and cats. Administer vaccinations, medications, and perform surgical procedures with precision and care. Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient histories, and document treatment plans clearly. Assist in laboratory procedures such as sample collection, analysis, and interpretation to support accurate diagnoses. Apply aseptic techniques during surgeries and invasive procedures to prevent infections. Educate pet owners on animal physiology, anatomy, nutrition, and general pet care best practices. Support animal husbandry tasks including grooming, feeding, and maintaining clean living environments. Perform specialized procedures such as diagnostic interventions as needed. Collaborate with team members on urgent cases requiring critical care or advanced veterinary intervention. Experience Proven veterinary experience with small animals; prior critical care experience is highly valued. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy knowledge essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Experience with aseptic techniques during surgeries or invasive procedures is advantageous. Knowledge of pet grooming, animal husbandry, and pet care practices enhances overall patient management. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
