A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. As a veterinarian in our new state of the art hospital (which opened on June 20, 2025) you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a variety of companion animals and provide small animal care. Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries Develop and implement treatment plans for companion animals based on their conditions Train to perform or perform surgical procedures, such as spaying/neutering, pyometras, tumor removals, eye enucliations, Administer vaccinations and medications to prevent and treat diseases Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and grooming Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care Maintain accurate medical records for all patients Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education ```Requirements``` - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school - Valid NC state veterinary license with 1 year Proficiency in animal catheterization, animal restraint, and general animal care techniques.
