Practice:
At Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic we provide high-quality care in a practical, clean environment for large animals and small animals. Since our founding in 1973, Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic has continued to grow and expand our services throughout San Angelo and surrounding areas. We provide the best veterinary care through the use of modern technology in diagnostics, medical therapies, surgical procedures, and preventative health care.
Position Purpose:
Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, mixed animal practice proudly serving San Angelo and the surrounding West Texas area. The clinic provides care for a diverse patient base and is known for its compassionate approach, strong client relationships, and commitment to quality veterinary medicine. With a collaborative and supportive team environment, Los Caballos values teamwork, respect, and providing thoughtful, individualized care to every client and patient. Located in San Angelo, Texas, the clinic offers the opportunity to practice in a welcoming West Texas community that blends small-town charm with access to outdoor recreation, local culture, and a relaxed pace of life. Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced mixed animal veterinarian to join their team. Experienced veterinarians will appreciate a collaborative setting where their skills and perspectives are valued. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to grow professionally while practicing high-quality medicine across a varied caseload.
Essential Responsibilities:
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end of life care. Maintain patients' medical records. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications:
DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain
DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range:
USD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
