We offer a flexible weekday schedule with no weekends or after-hours responsibilities, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Located directly at the base of the Wasatch Mountains , our clinic offers easy access to year-round outdoor recreation , including hiking, biking, skiing, and snowboarding—perfect for an active lifestyle. The ideal candidate is passionate about companion animal care and committed to providing high-quality medical services. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, performing surgical procedures, and educating clients on preventive care and treatment plans. You'll join a collaborative, supportive team dedicated to excellent patient care and high standards of veterinary medicine. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose conditions. Administer vaccinations and medications as needed. Perform surgical procedures with precision and care. Utilize veterinary terminology effectively when communicating with staff and pet owners. Provide emergency care and critical care for animals in need. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients. Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices. Handle animals safely and compassionately during examinations and treatments. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay updated with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state. Experience in veterinary critical care is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of animal care, handling, and husbandry practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to animal diagnostics. Proficiency in aseptic techniques during surgical procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely in various situations.
