Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, cleaning, and calibration to prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; identify electrical issues within HVAC/R systems. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting and leak repairs; handle ammonia refrigeration systems with proper safety procedures. Weld or perform equipment repair tasks as needed; maintain high standards of safety during all field service activities. Document all service activities thoroughly; complete reports detailing repairs performed and parts used for record-keeping purposes. Assist with HVAC system upgrades or new installations by applying HVAC design principles; collaborate with property maintenance teams for seamless operations. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites. Support property maintenance efforts by ensuring HVAC systems meet safety codes and environmental standards. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong mechanical background. Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or repair work. Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans is essential for accurate troubleshooting and installation. Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Prior experience in appliance repair or property maintenance enhances your ability to handle diverse technical challenges. Mechanical knowledge of boilers, welding techniques, plumbing systems, and equipment repair is beneficial. Field service experience demonstrating the ability to work independently in various environments while maintaining safety standards is required. Certification or training in HVAC/R technology is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
