Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design specifications. Conduct system inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs on HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment. Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation and maintenance procedures. Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and calibrating controls to optimize performance. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving plumbing connections, ammonia refrigeration systems, or mechanical components. Document all work performed accurately in service records and communicate effectively with clients regarding system operation or necessary repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during installation and service activities. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC installation or maintenance roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Construction experience related to building systems installation is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and property maintenance. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repair tasks efficiently. Mechanical skills including welding, boiler operation, appliance repair, and general property upkeep. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a driver preferred for site visits. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems including field service operations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Excellent communication skills for working with clients and team members in fast-paced environments.
