Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery and trucks used in construction, industrial, and agricultural settings. In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your hands-on skills will keep our fleet of trucks, trailers, excavators, cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, and other heavy machinery in top condition, supporting large-scale projects and operations. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a variety of heavy construction equipment, trucks and trailers. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, hydraulic system servicing, suspension adjustments, and engine tune-ups Perform annual DOT inspections. Conduct complex repairs on transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, electrical components, HVAC systems, and diesel engines to ensure optimal performance Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements Inspect equipment for safety issues or potential failures; perform alignments and wheel or track adjustments to maintain operational standards Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules for all equipment serviced Work in company shop as well as in the field on job sites Attention to detail and record keeping Maintain safety as number one priority Experience Proven mechanic experience with heavy construction or industrial equipment; is highly preferred Strong knowledge of OEM parts and schematics for Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu or similar brands Hands-on experience with excavator operation and troubleshooting Skilled in automotive diagnostics with a focus on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems and HVAC systems Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and other maintenance machinery for repairs and fabrication Excellent problem-solving skills Join us in delivering top-tier maintenance solutions that keep heavy machinery running smoothly!
