Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team and play a critical role in keeping our food production operations running safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your skills directly influence what gets made, how well it's made, and how quickly we recover when something goes wrong. What You'll Do You'll be the go-to expert for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the electromechanical systems that power our production lines — from conveyor systems and packaging machines to PLCs and automated equipment. Day to day, that means: Performing preventive and emergency maintenance on electromechanical systems including conveyors, packaging machines, and automated production equipment Troubleshooting and repairing 24V and 120V control voltage systems, including PLC diagnosis and repair Maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems and performing mechanical fabrication as needed Performing TIG welding to 3A sanitary standards for food-grade applications Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment, upgrades, and retrofits Implementing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures and extend machinery life Maintaining accurate maintenance records and communicating findings to management Collaborating with technicians, engineers, and production staff to troubleshoot issues and drive process improvements Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies What You Bring Experience & Education 1-3 years of experience as an electromechanical technician or in a related hands-on mechanical role Associate's degree, equivalent certification in Electromechanical Technology, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a Journeyman's card preferred Experience in food manufacturing or a similarly regulated production environment a plus — but not required Relevant certifications (TIG, forklift, electrical, or mechanical) are a plus We're committed to investing in the right person — candidates with strong foundational skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply Technical Skills Solid working knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, PLCs, and control systems Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Hands-on experience with 24V and 120V systems, pneumatic/hydraulic components, fabrication, and TIG welding to 3A standards Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Who You Are A curious problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and is eager to build your troubleshooting skills Someone who takes ownership — you show up ready to learn and don't wait to be told what to do A strong communicator who works well across teams and keeps the right people informed Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to doing things the right way Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance Ability to work in varying environmental conditions while adhering to all safety protocols Why Join Us This is more than a maintenance role — it's an opportunity to grow your career alongside people who are serious about their craft.
