Heavy Equipment Mechanic

For over 40+ years, Walter C. Via Enterprises, Inc. has been a proven and successful leader in the installation of gravity sewer and force main systems, water distribution systems and storm water drainage systems for municipalities. Our success is based strongly on the positive attitudes, skills and performance of our entire workforce. We currently seek an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our facility. The majority of our equipment is CAT and our trucks are Western Star and Peterbilt. Pay rates for this position will vary based upon your skills and experience.

Job Requirements:

• You must have 5 or more years of experience as a field/shop Mechanic
• Exhibit the ability to multitask and identify parts or machines that need new components, or need to be replaced.
• Replace and repair heavy equipment including, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Dozers, Class 1 to 8 vehicles and other construction equipment.
• Clean driving record and ability to assist in field repairs when necessary
• Class A or B CDL license a plus
• Inspection license a plus
• You will also need to be able to pass a drug screening test Walter C.
