Director of Engineering

An exciting opportunity is available for a Director of Engineering in Mattaponi, VA with a rapidly growing, veteran-owned aerospace defense manufacturer that designs and manufactures mission-critical products for deployment. This organization has been in business since 2008, has grown significantly in recent years, and offers the chance to lead engineering efforts that directly support those who serve the country. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Engineering position include: 8+ years of engineering and/or manufacturing operations experience, preferably in aerospace or aerospace defense. 5+ years of leadership experience in an engineering environment, ideally in a senior-level management role. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a similar technical discipline; Master's degree preferred. Proficiency with engineering drawings, SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and Microsoft Office applications. Lead and oversee engineering strategy, product design, manufacturing support, resource planning, and operational execution. Review and approve engineering designs and drawings while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and compliance standards are met. Manage, mentor, train, and develop engineering managers, supervisors, and team members. Support

Salary :

$150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
