Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to facilitate construction projects efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure that site operations run smoothly, deadlines are met, and safety standards are upheld. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks to perform grading, digging, lifting, and material handling tasks Manage construction site activities by safely maneuvering equipment around the site while maintaining precision and efficiency Assist with the setup and teardown of construction zones, including positioning machinery and preparing sites for concrete pouring or other foundational work Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly Support various construction operations including the use of concrete mixers, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers as needed Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment for all team members Collaborate with project managers and other crew members to coordinate tasks and meet project timelines Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active job sites Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment, cranes, dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and tankers Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience driving front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks or similar vehicles Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot minor issues Knowledge of construction materials and processes including concrete work and farm machinery operation is a plus Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment Join us in building something great!
