Job Description
This position is a member of a team responsible for assisting the Land Maintenance Manager ensuring tile drainage and excavating projects are completed safely, on-time, and in budget. Maintain equipment and tools used for performing the tasks, which includes lubricating, cleaning and repairing Survey and assist in designing new surface and sub-surface drainage systems for Beck s properties as required. Maintain CDL driver s license for some seed and/or equipment hauling. Operate other construction and production equipment as needed. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications. Includes using hand tool, such as, shovels, rakes, plate compactor, etc. Perform other related duties as may be required by the Production Land Maintenance Manager.
Job Requirements Education and training:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess and maintain a valid driver s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck s automobile insurance policy.Technical knowledge:
Class A Commercial Driver s License or equivalent required. Basic computer and software skills. Technical knowledge in mechanical repair and equipment operation skills will be given preference. Good communication skills.Travel and hours of work:
Overnight travel may be required based on project needs at Beck s regional locations and may vary in duration of time. Work hours may vary, depending on weather and project urgency.Physical demands:
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted. May be required to pass respiratory medical clearance evaluation. Must be able to pass DOT physical examination and obtain Medical Examiner s Certificate.Experience:
