As a Heavy Haul Logistics Broker, you will coordinate transportation planning, manage carrier relationships, and facilitate efficient freight solutions while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients and carriers through proactive account management and B2B sales strategies Coordinate heavy haul shipments by leveraging transportation management systems (TMS) and utilize software for seamless data entry and dispatching Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms with carriers to optimize freight costs while maintaining high service levels Manage transportation planning by scheduling pickups, deliveries, and route optimization for oversized loads in compliance with FDA regulations and safety standards Generate leads through targeted outreach, inside sales efforts, and lead generation tools to expand our customer base Oversee freight dispatching, carrier sales, and logistics sales activities to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining excellent customer relationships Monitor shipment progress using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and provide real-time updates to clients and internal teams Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including FDA guidelines for specialized cargo, while managing logistics contracts effectively Conduct negotiations with carriers to secure capacity, optimize pricing strategies, and develop long-term partnerships Maintain detailed records of transactions, contracts, and shipment documentation for audit readiness Experience Proven experience in supply chain management or transportation management within the heavy haul or 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) sectors Strong background in logistics sales, carrier sales, or freight brokerage with a focus on oversized or specialized loads Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), specialized software, and dispatching tools.
