Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army Nional Guard, in a military organizion supported by the Army Aviion Support Facility #2 (AASF). This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the effective de of placement. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Incumbent must possess and maintain a current ste driver's license. This position is subject to roting shifts. Incumbent is subject to uncommon tours of duty, rotional shift assignments and compension and/or overtime duty. Incumbent must possess and continue to maintain a US Army Class II Flight Physical. :. Applicants must demonstre the following specialized experience competencies (skills, knowledge, and abilities) to qualify for appointments toGS-2181-13
Army Nional Guard Dual Stus Officer positions. For Army Nional Guard positions, must have least 36 months of working experiences in civilian aviion programs; or, military service aviion programs (active duty or reserve components); or, in the Army Nional Guard Aviion Support facilities; or, in the Air Nional Guard Operions Groups. Qualificion competencies are determined by three factors in combinion: The aircraft opered; the nure and purpose of assignments; and, the degree of hazard. Experienced in piloting and instructing pilot skills in one or more of the following main-frame/military aircraft: Fixed-wing, rotary, or remotely piloted aircraft (RPA). Although a variety of piloting administrive tasks are performed in support of an Army Nional Guard aviion program, experiences include the abilities to train and instruct others in the piloting of a main-frame military aircraft. Experienced in mission tasking, intelligence reporting, and applying weher informion. Experienced in supervising and/or filing of flight plans and conducting crew briefings. Experienced in aircraft preflight inspections, aircraft loading, equipment assessments, and mission manning. Experienced in opering aircraft controls and equipment. Experienced in performing or supervising the work procedures involved in navigion, in-flight refueling; search and rescue operions; or surveillance and reconnaissance. Ability to conduct or supervise the training of crew members in simple to complex mission specific tasks. Experienced in developing plans and policies, monitoring operions, and advising commanders. Experienced in flight theory, air navigion, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft opering procedures, and mission tactics. Must have least two years experiences in instructing others in a specific air-frame/military aircraft. Competent to complete various piloting administrive tasks performed in support of Army Nional Guard aviion programs. Skilled to instruct others to pilot military aircraft on a regular and recurring basis. Experienced in the aviion unit quality control management programs; plus, skilled in the unit flying, explosive, and ground safety programs in accordance with Department of the Army, Nional Guard Bureau, and Occupional Safety and Health Administrion directives. Experienced in following directives, regulions, accident reports, safety da, and local opering conditions to determine unit safety program requirements. Experienced in coordining with approprie agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulions and programs. Experienced in one or more missions such as, air-to-air; air-to- ground; mortar-to-arm escort; surveillance; reconnaissance; surface tack; killer-scout; target illuminion; or laser targeting.
