Job Description
Assembly Technician Job Description:
The Assembly Technician role will be responsible for performing highly technical, electromechanical assembly and constructing small components to create critical products according to company specifications. The company will provide all the training and education required to perform the job responsibilities; no prior field experience is required.Responsibilities:
Electromechanical assembly of various types. Understand products and techniques required to assemble according to quality specifications. Organize work area and efficiently accomplish all tasks. Maintain a clean work area. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be able to work off written and verbal instructions. Must be willing to learn different types of components, products, and assembly techniques. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to work 4+ hour shifts five to six days a week. Capable of working independently. Able to work near others. Able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, standing, twisting, etc. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking. Ability to lift varying weights of parts/materials. Able to complete repetitive hand movements Install small screws by hand consistently Grip the tube with enough strength to pull electrical tape and cut the tape by pulling. Holding and using a hand drill to install screws continuously Grip two small wires and insert them all the way to the top of a scotchlok (can be difficult to see wires) Constantly squeeze or press scotchloks with a fair amount of force so that it is completely pressed down. Grip a tube and insert a plastic end-fitting so that it locks into place. (takes some hand and arm strength) Be able to visually identify small quality problems on the tube. Use a cutting tool to cut small wires sagely and precisely. Be able to push a plastic locking zip tie into a hole. (hole size can be slightly different requiring the use of needle nose pliers and some strength) Lift a basket with 10 tubes to load it on or off the line. (can be up to 20 lbs) Twist, pull, and run wires though the tube. Tasks above detail process for each tube, equating to 1,000 tubes per shift. 4pm to 8pm - Day ShiftSimilar remote jobs
