Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Math Tutor to support students in mastering mathematical concepts and excelling academically. This role involves providing personalized instruction, developing tailored lesson plans, and utilizing various learning technologies to enhance student understanding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and experience working with high school students, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages academic growth and confidence. Responsibilities Deliver engaging tutoring sessions in high school-level mathematics, including Algebra, Calculus, AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC Develop customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs. Utilize learning technology tools to facilitate interactive and effective instruction. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts such as Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, and Anatomy knowledge when applicable. Support students in developing problem-solving skills and critical thinking through effective classroom management techniques. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and educational staff to ensure comprehensive support for each student's academic journey. Qualifications Proven experience in tutoring or teaching high school or higher education students in mathematics or related STEM fields. Strong knowledge of math topics including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, Discrete Math, Data Structures, and Differential Equations. Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learning styles. Proficiency with learning technology platforms and computer skills to enhance instruction. Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings; experience with special education or early childhood education is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels. Background knowledge in related fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or Higher Education Teaching is advantageous but not required. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
