High School Mathematics Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a new Math teacher to join our outstanding faculty of teachers for the next school year. You must have a solid understanding of the national curriculum standards and have experience closing the achievement gap, and you must also develop engaging and innovative lessons that allow our students to grow academically, socially and emotionally. You are someone who incorporates technology and hands-on learning experiences into the classroom with enthusiasm. The ideal candidate also believes in collaboration with other colleagues and promotes understanding and communication in a diverse learning and cultural environment. As an ASA Math Teacher you will have to: Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures. Masterful knowledge of mathematics curriculum and best practices Highly developed presentation skills Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations. Prepare required reports on students and activities. Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Prepare classroom for class activities. Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities. Observe and evaluate student's performance and development. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics education or another related field Completion of an internship or field experience in secondary education Current certification in mathematics education Preferred Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing FLDOE Educator Certificate preferred For more information, please visit our website!
