An all-girls Catholic, Dominican, Sinsinawa-founded and IB World School, Trinity ensures that each student is known, supported, and challenged to become her best self. Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate High School Spanish Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year to inspire students and foster a love for the Spanish language and culture. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging curriculum, utilize innovative learning technology, and support students' academic growth. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to educational excellence in a vibrant school environment. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Spanish instruction, promoting cultural awareness, and supporting students' language acquisition journey. Responsibilities Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Trinity's college preparatory and IB curriculum Foster an inclusive learning environment that respects diverse abilities and backgrounds Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) Support students' academic, personal, and spiritual growth Integrate instructional technology to enhance learning Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the subject area (Master's preferred) Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) for grades 9-12 Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of an all-girls school Ability to differentiate classroom instruction / labs for students with varying levels of Spanish fluency and instruction prior to entering Trinity High School Willing and able to teach courses in Spanish across grades 9-12 in both the college preparatory and IB curriculum Trinity operates on a 4x5 block schedule. Full-time World Language Teachers teach five course preparations across college preparatory, pre-IB/IB, on an alternating day schedule. Teachers assigned to IB courses must complete required IB training during their first year. Specific course loads will be shared with candidates at the time of the interview. Salary and Benefits Starting salary is dependent on degree and experience. For a first year teacher with no experience, starting salary is $43,000 - $68,000. Trinity offers Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, and a 403B plan. Time off includes paid time off and sick days, as well as scheduled school holidays.
