In this role, you will develop engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom environment, and support students' academic growth and personal development. This highly competative position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a dynamic educational community. Classes meet between the hours of 3:00 -6:35 pm, Monday - Thursday Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with NYS curriculum standards in one or more of the following departments; Math, Science, English,or Social Studies. Deliver engaging instruction using innovative learning technology and varied teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide timely feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques. Mentor and support students academically and socially, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, upcoming assessments, and classroom events. Experience Prior successful classroom experience in high school settings is required. Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the core high school level academic subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Chemistry , Biology, Global Studies , Economics , US History ,or ELA. Experience with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and education administration practices is highly desirable. Proven ability to mentor students effectively while managing classroom behavior and fostering young adulthood development

Pay:

$53.00 - $65.00 per hour
