Lakeshore High School History Teacher Location:
Lakeshore High School, Stevensville, MI 49127
Qualifications:
Required:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Highly Qualified Endorsement in History (CC). Additional endorsements in Science (DI or DX), English (BA or BQ) or Mathematics (EX) desirable but not required Strong knowledge of historical content, concepts, and skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team of teachers. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction. Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum objectives. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance student learning and engagement. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues to further the goals of Professional Learning Communities. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in education.
