Position Overview:
We are seeking a Billing Coordinator to be based in our Woodcliff Lake NJ office to support our finance operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and smooth coordination between our care teams and payers.
Responsibilities:
Manage and track client authorizations, ensuring timely renewals to avoid service interruptions Resubmit denied or rejected claims and follow up diligently until resolved Process and close out billing cycles with precision and efficiency Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims, providing required documentation Maintain and verify client eligibility with insurance providers and Medicaid programs Ensure compliance with payer requirements, agency policies, and regulatory guidelines Collaborate closely with scheduling, payroll, and administrative teams to maintain billing accuracy Generate billing reports and assist with audits as needed As assinged
Qualifications:
Prior experience in medical or home care billing required Strong knowledge of Medicaid, private insurance, and home care billing practices Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently Effective communicator with strong problem-solving abilities Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred)
