Home Health Aide

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work with diverse populations, including those with disabilities. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Help with mobility and transferring clients safely, including lifting when necessary. Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Assist with catheter care and other specialized personal care needs as required. Observe and report any changes in client behavior or health status to family members or healthcare professionals. Skills Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient observation and empathy. Experience working in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is preferred. Ability to perform medication administration accurately and responsibly. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Capability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the client's living space.
