Home Medical Equipment Technician (Full Time)

General :

The Home Medical Eq uipmen t Technician m u st be knowledgeable of all equipment an d supplies provided by Home Medica l and uphold it's standard for excellence. R esponsible for competent, efficient, and friendly deli very and setup of equipment and supplies to customer s in their home. Respon si ble for equipment checks , education to clients and their families / caregivers, service, cleaning, documentation and safeguar din g company assets while in their care. Must be able to assist with admini stra ti ve aspects as well to includ e answering phones, scheduling and appropriate do cumentation.

Home Medical Equipment Manager Qualifications Phy s ical: ln an average 8 hour day the employee lifts / carries up to 65 po u nds frequent l y . 1n an average 8 hour da y the employee stands / walks 3 In an average 8 hour day the employee sits 1 h (T hese hours include up to 1 hours of data entry / phone work.) 1n an average 8 hour da y the employee drives 4 hour . The employee lifts/carries up to 170 maximum. M u s t be clean & neat in personal E duc ation: - High schoo l diploma or E.D. equivalent preferred.

Experience/Know l edge/Pe r sonality:

Excellent driving record with Hazardous Material Able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude . Good oral and written communicatio n skills. Must be detail o riented. People sensitive charac t e r istics wit h a desire t o hel p others. Goo d computer / key boardin g ski ll s. Ab l e to handle heavy phone load. Ab l e to work independently with minimal supervision. Ab l e to maintain confi den tia l ity of information exposed to.

On Call :

Periodicall y avai l a ble for n o n- office hours. Wi ll ing to be trained in pertinent area of equipment/supplies. Avai labl e fo r home / office visits.

Responsibilities and Dutie s:

1. Deliver and set -u p equipment and supp li es efficiently and pro v id e instructions to client as appropriate. 2. Perform efficient equipment checks and servicing of oxygen and rel ated equipment per compan y polic y in customer ' s hom e 3. Be familiar with and adhere to all regulatory and saf ety procedures that apply to the deli very of liquid oxygen. 4. Document all equipment service and maintenance work in appropriate records. 5. Maintain and update plan of care for customers following home visits 6. Responsible to maintain rep orts, statistics as requir ed by 7. With the assistance of the Home Medical Equipment Manager , arrange for efficient and cost effective routes and deliveries. 8. Pick up equipment in timely manner . 9. Assist with cleaning and repair of all equipment whi le in store and time permits. Maintain records for all rental equipment. 10. Responsible fo r being on -call a s per company policy. 11. Responsible for attendance at in- st ore meetings. 12. Assist with retail sales and be knowledgeable of s upplies , prices and reimbur sement 13. As s ist with inventory control. 14. Re spo nsible to follow billing policies and complete all appropriate paperwork for processing. 15. Responsible for maintaining vehicle and appropriate records as set in company policies. 16. Help maintain branch building and ground s b y cleaning , painting , performing minor repair s and other tasks as tim e permits. 17. Responsible for seeking task s and informing Manager of idle time between deliveries. 18. Responsible for observing confidentiality at all times. 19. Responsible for the safe operation and routine care of company vehicle's. 20. Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
