This role provides hands-on experience that directly impacts operations and guest experiences and is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in hospitality, tourism, or food and beverage management. This internship includes specific projects as well as overall operations, making it an excellent opportunity to gain diverse hospitality experience.What You'll Do:
- Oversee and actively participate in the daily operations of the tasting room and marketing.
- Create memorable guest experiences from start to finish.
- Demonstrate knowledge of our history, wine and the vineyards when answering guest questions.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room and outlying areas.
- Consistently and effectively communicate needs.
- Conduct guest transactions via our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain stock and displays of tasting room retail items.
- Set the tone for positive team collaboration and communication.
- Assist in other operations as needed to contribute to the overall success of Ehlers
- Create a Hospitality driven project to finish the program to be agreed upon at the beginning of the internship.
What We're Looking For:
- A student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Tourism, Recreation and Event Management, Food and Beverage Management, Business or Retail.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- A customer-focused mindset, a passion for hospitality and a positive attitude.
- Confidence during fast-paced rush periods.
- Strong ability to multitask, problem-solve and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must be at least 21 years old with reliable transportation.
- ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand, move, or walk for possibly the entire shift, and lift or move up to 50 pounds
