Position Summary The Assistant Golf Professional plays a vital role in the daily operation of the Golf Department while helping deliver an exceptional private club experience. This position assists the Head Golf Professional in overseeing golf operations, tournament administration, member services, golf shop merchandising, pace of play, and outside golf services. The ideal candidate is a motivated PGA Professional or Associate who demonstrates professionalism, leadership, exceptional customer service, and a passion for the game of golf. Success in this role requires the ability to anticipate member needs, communicate effectively, work collaboratively with all club departments, and represent Bermuda Dunes Country Club with integrity and enthusiasm. Experience Required Qualifications Required PGA Class A Member or PGA Associate Level 1 or higher Minimum two (2) years of private club experience preferred Associate's degree or higher preferred Thorough knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf and Rules of Amateur Status Tournament operations experience required Experience using Golf Genius Tournament Management software Strong understanding of the World Handicap System Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Familiarity with Golf365 Premier and tee sheet management software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and tournament schedules Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Essential Responsibilities Assist the Head Golf Professional with the daily management and execution of golf operations. Deliver exceptional, personalized service to Bermuda Dunes Country Club members and guests. Assist with all aspects of tournament operations, including event preparation, Golf Genius administration, course setup, scoring, results, prizes, and post-event billing. Perform Golf Shop opening and closing procedures and assist with daily point-of-sale operations. Manage member special orders and assist with merchandising, receiving, inventory, and Golf Shop presentation. Assist with tee sheet management, member play, pace of play, and enforcement of Club golf policies and procedures. Support handicap administration and assist members with World Handicap System and Rules of Golf questions. Develop strong relationships with members and participate in member golf when approved by the Head Golf Professional. Communicate and coordinate with Outside Services, Golf Course Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and other Club departments to provide a seamless member experience. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Bermuda Dunes Country Club both on and off property. Demonstrate teamwork, dependability, initiative, and a willingness to assist wherever needed within the Golf Department. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
