OVERVIEW
The Head Tennis Professional at Boca West Country Club leads the tennis instruction team and delivers exceptional tennis programs, lessons, and clinics to members and guests. This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing tennis offerings, maintaining high standards of coaching, and fostering a welcoming, professional environment that enhances members' tennis experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tennis Instruction & Program Development Plan, organize, and execute tennis lessons, clinics, leagues, and special events. Develop personalized training programs for members of all ages and skill levels. Oversee and mentor assistant pros and coaching staff. Ensure high-quality coaching standards and member satisfaction. Member Relations & Service Build strong relationships with members, understanding their goals and preferences. Respond promptly to member inquiries and feedback. Promote tennis programs, tournaments, and social events to encourage participation. Staff Supervision & Development Supervise assistant coaches and support staff. Conduct staff evaluations, provide coaching mentorship, and support professional growth. Assist with staff scheduling and ensure coverage for lessons and clinics. Court & Facility Oversight Coordinate with management and maintenance staff to ensure courts are in excellent condition. Monitor court usage and optimize scheduling for lessons, leagues, and tournaments. Enforce safety protocols and facility policies. Program Promotion & Marketing Collaborate with the marketing team to promote tennis programs and events. Develop member engagement initiatives to increase participation. Support club marketing efforts through member communication and outreach. Administrative & Reporting Duties Track member participation, lesson schedules, and program success. Prepare reports on program performance, participation rates, and member feedback. Manage coaching budgets and equipment inventory. Supervisory Responsibilities Lead and mentor the coaching team, including assistant pros and support staff. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching development. Assign coaching duties, lesson schedules, and program responsibilities. Foster a professional, team-oriented environment focused on member satisfaction.

TRAINING
Proven experience as a professional tennis coach, preferably at a club or academy. Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, strategies, and coaching methods. Leadership skills with experience managing coaching staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to design engaging programs for diverse age groups and skill levels. Punctual, organized, and member-focused. Preferred Attributes USTA or PTR certification or equivalent coaching credentials. Passion for teaching and developing players. Results-driven with a focus on member satisfaction. Up-to-date with current tennis trends and coaching innovations.
