Job Description

Overview Position:
The Lead Assistant Golf Professional reports to the PGA Director of Golf and PGA Head Golf Professional, and works closely with other golf staff members, with duties and responsibilities covering all aspects of daily golf operations, tournament/event planning and execution, inventory control and golf shop merchandising. Applicants must possess a proven team approach to leadership, be motivated to provide exceptional member and guest services, possess a high level of attention to detail, and exhibit a positive attitude that elevates the performance of the entire staff.

Experience Required PGA Apprentice with 1+ years private club experience preferred. Essential Responsibilities The Lead Assistant Golf Professional works closely with the PGA Director of Golf and PGA Head Golf Professional in the management of all aspects of the golf operation. These essential responsibilities below have been established to ensure all aspects of the operation exceed the expectations of our members and their guests, and are as follows: Key Responsibilities Assist in the management and execution of all aspects of the golf operation. Provide superior member relations by actively engaging with all member segments. Lead daily golf shop operational coverage to include welcoming and registering members and their guests for play. Consistently display a noticeably positive and energetic attitude. Assist in all retail aspects of the department including merchandising, purchasing, inventory control oversight and special-order tracking. Active involvement in event programming, development and execution for member tournaments and re-occurring organized group play. Assist in the management and supervision of the outside golf operations staff, provide support and guidance to ensure exceptional member services and facility presentation to the highest of standards. Monitor golf course and practice areas to present a professional presence and enhance member engagement, ensure proper pace of play guidelines are being achieved. Play golf with all member segments to foster positive relationship building as time permits and be an active goodwill ambassador for the Club.
